Startup that grows brain cells on chips launches a video model
Mischief 1 starts at half a cent per second.

A team that has spent four years growing real brain cells on electrodes to study how they compute has launched mischief 1, a video model built on those findings, co-founder Alex Ksendzovsky said.
Pricing starts at 0.5 cents per second. The team says it is at least 5x faster than its base model and the cheapest image-to-video model on fal and OpenRouter, with an AWS Marketplace listing coming soon.
Ksendzovsky said it shows biocompute is real and commercial.
