Anthropic renames Claude Max plans to Max and Ultra, drops 5-hour limit for verified Ultra
Prices stay the same. Verified Ultra accounts lose the 5-hour cap starting today.
Anthropic is renaming its Claude Max plans. Max 5x is now simply Max, and Max 20x is now Ultra, the company said in a post from the Claude account on Friday.
Max still costs $100 a month and Ultra still costs $200. Existing subscribers do not need to do anything.
Anthropic is also removing the 5-hour usage limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they are verified, which the company says helps prevent fraud and abuse. Weekly limits are unchanged. The post drew about 10,000 likes.
