Google's Project Suncatcher boots a TPU in orbit and gets back a haiku
Sundar Pichai calls it a 'hello world' milestone for Google's space data center prototype.
Google's Project Suncatcher has hit what CEO Sundar Pichai called a 'hello world' milestone, according to his post on Friday.
A few weeks after launching its prototype satellite, Google sent a command up to orbit, booted the TPU on board, ran a prompt and received the first complete response back on Earth.
The response was a haiku. Pichai's post drew about 7,800 likes.
