Researcher plans to dump four months of Apple bug bounty findings
He says he'll publish data, proofs of concept and write-ups this weekend.
Security researcher thedawgyg says Apple's bug bounty program is "by far the worst program I've ever hacked on." He plans to publicly release everything he found during four months of hacking Apple.
The dump will include data, proofs of concept and report write-ups. It will also include proofs of concept for vulnerabilities that didn't meet Apple's bar for a bounty and so were never reported. He suggests others may be able to find ways to escalate some of them, and says he'll upload it all this weekend.
Why it mattersPublic disclosures like this put pressure on vendors' bounty programs. They can also expose unpatched issues before a fix ships.
