Thread: hackers are hitting the money system in several places at once
From Crédit Mutuel Arkéa to Belgium's tax portal and Korean banks.

Whale Scan (@WhaleScan) posted a thread saying hackers are hitting the world's money system in several places at the same time.
It lists more than €118 million (about $133 million) pulled from Crédit Mutuel Arkéa and turned into crypto, with the bank's app down and transfers blocked; a cyberattack on Belgium's federal finance ministry that shut its tax portal; malware on a European Central Bank website; and at least nine South Korean banks targeted by an attacker using an AI hacking agent.
The thread compares the moment to 'what Covid looked like in week 1.' It is a roundup and some items rest on single sources. It drew about 1,900 likes.
