France's national blood service, the EFS, was hit by a cyberattack that came through its refrigeration contractor, Coolworld, according to a post by Lukasz Olejnik (@lukOlejnik).

The attackers reset freezers holding donor samples at -30°C to a target temperature of 110°C. An on-call technician noticed the rising temperatures in time, and nothing was destroyed.

The post drew about 4,700 likes overnight. It adds to a wave of attacks on connected refrigeration systems that newslines has been following this week.
