Anthropic (@AnthropicAI) shared how its biology research team worked with Claude to map the first 3D structure of a vault particle from bacterial life.

Vault particles are barrel-shaped objects, among the largest protein structures found in cells. They were first discovered in 1986, but their function is still unknown, and until now they were only known in complex life like animals and plants.

Anthropic says the results might bring researchers closer to solving the mystery. The post drew about 2,100 likes.
