A startup founder posting as @wenyanhh said the team lost $4,000 overnight after waking up to more than 5,500 new signups, thinking they had finally gone viral.
It turned out someone had created thousands of fake accounts to drain the company's free AI credits. The founder said even email verification didn't stop them.
According to the post, the credits were used to generate a whole short drama. It drew about 1,300 likes.
