Claude Code picked up a new rule around October 27, sent from Anthropic's servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". Users have no setting to turn it off.

The rule tells Claude to build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user's own designs and assets, but not to recreate a specific existing game, even if it is renamed.

Developers are now debating how the rule will affect game remakes, mods and clones.
