According to the post, Sony Network Communications says hackers accessed its member database on October 19, affecting around 2.58 million So-net and plala customers.

Leaked information listed includes names, user IDs, email addresses, other customer information, and 16 bank account records with account numbers and bank names. The company says it has not found leaked credit card numbers or expiration dates and does not store bank PINs.

Sony says the affected servers have been shut down and the unauthorized connections blocked, while internet services keep running.
