Reminder: don't push to production on a Friday
GitHub Projects posted the oldest rule in ops on the one day it matters most.

The GitHub Projects account (@GithubProjects) posted a timely reminder on Friday: "don't push to production on friday." The joke drew around 900 likes.
The rule is old developer folklore. Shipping code late in the week risks breaking something just as the team logs off, leaving bugs live through the weekend with fewer people around to fix them.
Why it mattersThe meme landed on a day packed with security news, including urgent advisories for PHP, Node.js and Java covered elsewhere on today's board. Teams that need to patch may not have the luxury of waiting until Monday, which is exactly the tension the old rule tries to avoid. Many teams now rely on automated tests and easy rollbacks so any day can be a safe day to deploy.
