Cursor agents can now control your computer to test what they build
Agents can drive desktop apps like the iOS simulator.

Cursor (@cursor_ai) announced on Friday that its agents can now control your computer. The post says agents can drive desktop apps such as the iOS simulator to test the features they build. It drew about 4,100 likes.
Until now many coding agents mostly read and write files and run terminal commands. Being able to click through an app lets an agent check its own work the way a person would, for example by running the simulator and trying the new screen.
Why it mattersTesting is one of the slowest parts of AI-assisted coding. An agent that can open the app and verify what it built could close the loop, though giving software control of your computer also raises the stakes on permissions.
