Codex day 18: Decisions API goes GA, OpenResponses joins Linux Foundation
OpenAI's Codex lead also says Uber is going all-in, in a dense day-18 update.
Tibo (@thsottiaux), who leads OpenAI's Codex work, shared a "day 18" update: the Decisions API is now generally available, OpenResponses has joined the Linux Foundation, performance improvements have shipped and, according to the post, Uber is going all-in on Codex. He signed off with "but yes… that's a reset!" The post drew about 8,000 likes.
Codex is OpenAI's coding agent. General availability means the Decisions API is considered ready for production use, and moving a project to the Linux Foundation typically puts it under neutral, community governance.
Why it mattersA large company like Uber committing to one coding agent is a notable adoption signal. See the original post for context on the "reset" remark.
