Claude's Messages API adds server-side message threads in beta
ClaudeDevs' post drew about 4,200 likes.
Anthropic's developer account says message threads are now in public beta on the Messages API.
The API caches a conversation on the server between turns, so developers send only the new messages and the previous message ID instead of resending the whole conversation.
According to the post, that lets Claude start responding sooner.
