LAIKA's Travis Knight: the studio will never use generative AI
The stop-motion studio head called AI "theft" in a quote shared by DiscussingFilm, which passed 23,900 likes.

Travis Knight says LAIKA, the stop-motion studio he leads, will never use generative AI in its films, according to a DiscussingFilm post on Tuesday.
"AI is theft. It's the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back," Knight said. "It has no humanity. It has no spirit."
Why it mattersIt's one of the bluntest no-AI pledges yet from an animation studio, and the post became one of the day's biggest AI culture stories.
